Same 'ol, Same 'ol

I just wanted to say "Happy Birthday" to my wonderfully amazing Dad! You are the best!!

I had a pretty good weekend and am really looking forward to this upcoming weekend. This past weekend I spent most of it with the family playing poker. I'm pretty certain I won every game... I don't know what makes me so darn good... just lucky I guess. :) I bet I went on 5,000 bike rides with my mom. I took a few walks with my brother to help him heal his back. And helped Dad cook an amazing breakfast on Sunday morning!

This next weekend I'll be in Columbia.. and hopefully I'll get a little rest and relaxation! I could really use it after this week is over. Part of me just wants to sit around and relax and the other part wants to go do things during the day like walk around downtown or at Rock Bridge State Park. When my uncle used to teach at MU we would walk around downtown all the time, eat lunch at Shakespeares, and take pictures at the columns. It's weird to think about how much time we spent up there. The devil's ice box, the katy trail, and his little apartment on Rock Quarry Road.

Anyway, enough reminiscing... I've got work to do here at the lab... hard work... no joke. Peace!
