Slap in the Face

So maybe I'm misinterpreting what Rev. Lowery meant by this quote, but my first reaction was shock and then it felt like a slap in the face.

"We ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around. When yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen."

When will racism end?? When people like Rev. Lowery stop bringing it up and focusing in on it by making it an issue. My take on the following quote is that all these races will "one day" (not yet) rise up and not be held down by the white folk... Puh-lease!!! Look at what happened today and the history that was made. What does he mean??? Is he saying that whites aren't doing what is right?? And blacks, browns, yellows, and reds are??? Give me a break. Maybe I'm over analyzing...
